VILLA GRAZIOLI: A JOURNEY THROUGH HISTORY
AN IMMERSIVE TOUR OF ITALIAN HERITAGE WITH AUGMENTED REALITY

A unique immersive experience is finally available to the public, thanks to augmented reality: by wearing latest-generation viewers, it is possible to take a mixed reality tour of the halls of the Piano Nobile and the Galleria del Pannini, listening to the history of the Villa and immersing yourself in the reality of the era in which the Villa was built. Thanks to the technology used, it is possible to see the frescoes that have been lost, the Renaissance landscapes, but also the architecture of the rooms at the time in which the Villa was built, in an exciting journey through history.

A one-of-a-kind project

This wonderful project was made possible by a call for technological innovation of cultural heritage, in which Park Hotel Villa Grazioli participated (arriving 1° in the Lazio Region) for Research and Development of technologies for the exploitation of cultural heritage - Financed by the Lazio Region, MUR and MIC.

Since 2018, a long study and research work has been carried out, which led to the restoration of the eighteenth-century facade and frescoes of the Galleria Nova (or Pannini Gallery), which is now open to the public again.

Part of the technological innovation project is also the projection in videomapping on the facade of the Villa, which serves as a screen for a short video, which tells in 3D and with special effects the history of the Villa from 1580 to today.
